Improve efficiency on the Bamboo Flute and general practice
By Shashank Subramanyam
During my career spanning over three decades, what I have observed is that many students work seriously on the Music and do not consider rhythm very essential. Of course there are others who also learn rhythm but are not sure on how to integrate Music and rhythm. You will be surprised to know that in the tradition of Nadaswaram playing, even Alaap exploration is accompanied by beats and Thavil, although mildly.
This is precisely what I wish to teach or talk about about in my upcoming workshop on Livdemy where in I will teach the students how to integrate Music and Rhythm aesthetically and also many ways of presenting Raga alapana and Swara kalpana.
This is going to be an interactive workshop. So bring any questions you may have on the topic. Also, drop in a question on this page when you register. Would be happy to address them during the workshop.
