In this masterclass, Sitar Maestro Purbayan Chatterjee discusses the application of Alankars or Ornamentation in Sitar recital. The masterclass covers different sub-genres of Traditional Indian music. Under the sub-genres, this session covers
- Part-one covers the approach while playing Hindustani Classical.
- Second part covers Semi-classical genre such as Thumri, Dadra, Kajri and Chaiti.
- Third and last part covers Folk music, Dhun, Geet, Ghazal.
