About the Artist

Stanley Jordan

Stanley Jordan is a guitarist and composer with a very eclectic approach to music. He is considered by many to be the foremost exponent of the touch or tapping technique on the guitar. For his innovations, he was recently honored by Guitar World Magazine in an article entitled '40 Guitarists Who Changed Our World Since 1980," where he was listed at #5. In the 1980s his album "Magic Touch" was #1 on Billboard's jazz chart for 51 weeks. His soaring solo on Kenny Rogers' song "Morning Desire" helped to propel that track to #1 on the country chart in 1986. Since then he has toured extensively, having performed in over 70 countries. He has performed or recorded with a diverse array of artists, including Miles Davis, Dave Matthews, Herbie Hancock, and Sharon Isbin. He has a BA in music theory and composition from Princeton University.

Will I get a recording of this session?

You will get a notification of the recording of this session sent to you via mail within 2-3 days of the live session. The recordings will be made available for a limited time. You can watch them on livdemy.com only.

How can I take a live chat in the session?

You need to go to the Live Chat tab in the sidebar in the session. You need to provide livdemy access to your camera and microphone first to be able to use this feature. I hear an echo, what to do?
