1.The Lydian Mode and it's Eastern Equivalent, Raag Aiman/Yaman:  

  - Understanding and exploring 'Kinarey's' harmony and the theory behind it.  

  - Short performance on guitar and flute to show differences in modal and raaga approach

  - Discussion on Aiman and it's peculiarities as opposed to the Lydian mode. 


2. Study/walk through the chords & arpeggio shapes/voicings on acoustic in 'Kinarey'.  


3. Recreating the acoustic guitar tones & sounds used on the record for 'Kinarey' using plugins or real amps/pedals/processors. 


4. Introduce Melodic Counterpoint Lines as an Arrangement Tool


5.In depth study of 'Kinarey's guitar melodies as an example of using the Melodic Counterpoint Concept


6. Study and demonstrations of using the Lydian scale in 'Kinarey' for improvising over it using solo section.  

  - Audio Stem: Give music/backing tracks as on original recording as a stereo stem for students to practice on and use on their own. 

  - Demonstrations on Guitar, Vocals & Flute with special guests Sharmistha Chatterjee on vocals and Mohd Ahsan Papu on flute


7. Arrangement Considerations and Concepts in 'Kinarey:  

  - Converting Monophonic Instruments into Polyphonic Ensembles: 

  - ‘Kinarey' is an excellent example of the following concept, which is to take a single melody note instrument and to stack it in a musical arrangement based on Western Classical Orchestrations. 

  - Audio Stem : Provides examples of this arrangement so students can hear it and from now on be able to identify this writing technique on MHB records and songs as well as utilize this idea into their own song writing and arranging. 

  - In 'Kinarey' an Eastern, monophonic instrument (Flute), is arranged as a Western Classical Orchestra Woodwinds section. 

8.Creative Collaborators: How to Collaborate Successfully within a Band: 

  a) Papu Sb's influence on Mhb's writing style & arrangements PLUS 

  b) ) Mekaal's influences on the band's sound & writing/arrangements.
