Deshna Chitturi - A Young Bassist with Big Dreams
At just 16, Deshna Chitturi is already making waves as a touring and session bassist from Coimbatore, India. In this episode of Livdemy’s Future Legends, resident host Anurag Tagat sits down with Deshna for a candid conversation about her musical journey, inspirations, aspirations and what it takes to grow as a young musician.
Deshna talks about discovering the bass at 11 under the influence of her guitarist father, her practice routine, her experience touring with Thaman S on the Indian leg of the OG Tour, and her work with leading brands including Sadowsky Basses, Markbass, RockBoard by Warwick, NUX Audio and Ernie Ball India.

About the Artist
Deshna Chitturi
Deshna Chitturi is a 16-year-old touring and session bassist from Coimbatore, India, and one of the country’s most promising young bassists. She discovered her passion for music at 11 under the guidance of her guitarist father, Arun Chitturi, and has since developed a distinctive style combining technical precision, energetic performance and genre-blending creativity.
Deshna has toured with acclaimed composer Thaman S on the Indian leg of the OG Tour. She is also an official endorser for leading global brands including Sadowsky Basses, Markbass, RockBoard by Warwick, NUX Audio and Ernie Ball India—achievements that have made her a trailblazer in India’s bass community.
At 12, she co-founded The Songs of Society, a father-daughter hard rock project blending socially relevant themes with Tamil and Telugu lyrics. Her debut solo single, Bassline to the Beyond, showcases her mastery of slap bass and tapping while incorporating Indian classical influences.
Deshna hopes to inspire the next generation of bassists and demonstrate the creative possibilities of the instrument.
