Smt Anjali Pohankar is the wife of Pt Ajay Pohankar & mother of Shri Abhijit Pohankar. She is also the daughter of Pt Krishnarao Majumdar of Indore who was a seniormost deciple of Ustad Rajab Ali Khan sahib. She has done her Master of Arts in Music and specialized in THUMRI form of music. She has written a book on Thumri which has been critically acclaimed. She is a widely travelled performing vocalist and has sung in prestigious concerts. Her Music and teaching skills have been appreciated by legendry maestros Like Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan, Shri Sudhir Phadke, Shri P.L Deshpande(legendry Marathi writer) and many more. She has been teaching Music since last 30 years and has trained innumerable students of Music.
